How to Get Ready for the Half Marathon: Parking, Shuttles, and Packet Pick-Up

The half marathon is a significant athletic event that requires careful planning and preparation. For participants who will be running in the upcoming 'download 1 30 half marathon pace' event, it's essential to know where to park, how to get there, and what to expect at packet pick-up.

Parking Options

There are several parking options available for half marathon participants. The Rose Bowl offers parking in Lots K, F, D, I, and area H. Additionally, paid parking is also available at the Holly Street Garage and the Courtyard Marriott Public Parking Structure. It's recommended that participants plan to arrive early to ensure they secure a parking spot.

Shuttle Service

To help reduce traffic congestion and make it easier for participants to get to the race, shuttles will be provided from Memorial Park Station in Old Pasadena. The shuttle service will start at 4:00 am on race day and will conclude 90 minutes following the conclusion of the race. Shuttle pick-up will be located on the corner of Holly Street.

Important Notes

It's essential for participants to plan their arrival carefully, as traffic is likely to start building up as early as 5:00 am. To ensure a smooth entry into the lots and a stress-free morning, it's recommended that participants arrive no later than 6:00 am.

T-Shirts and Bib Distribution

Participants can collect their T-shirts before and after the race on event day. The Rose Bowl is located at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena, CA 91103.

Packet Pick-Up

Packets will not be mailed to participants, so it's essential to plan accordingly for packet pick-up. Participants who purchased the VIP Hospitality option can collect their packets on event day. However, please note that race-day bib pickup is only available for those who have pre-purchased VIP Hospitality.

To collect your packet, you must bring a valid photo ID. Unfortunately, there will be no exceptions to these rules, so it's crucial to plan ahead and arrange for someone to pick up your packet on your behalf if needed.
